Have you ever take a look at the label of your favorite drink? To your horror, you have found that drinking that can of soda or eating a certain chocolate bar is actually eating almost half of the daily recommended sugar consumption! Well, I'm here to help you quit sugar and find substitutes for sugar.

Sugar is the enemy. It's not just bad for your teeth; it's bad for your heart, too. Sugar can cause diabetes and lead to premature aging. And it's everywhere in our food!

Here are 5 reasons why you should stop consuming sugar.

 1. Sugar spikes your blood sugar.

You know how you feel when you eat a big, greasy burger and fries? That's because your blood sugar has shot up and then crashed back down. Eating sugar causes the same thing to happen—but it's much more severe.

2. Sugar increases inflammation in your body.

Sugar is processed, so it's already broken down into glucose before it enters your bloodstream, which means there's no fiber to slow down its absorption. The spike in blood sugar causes inflammatory markers in the body to rise, which can lead to chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease over time.

3. On top of all that, sugar often comes with added calories. This means that if you eat a lot of sugary foods and drinks, then even if they don't contain any fat or protein then they could still make you gain weight because there's so many empty calories in them (empty calories are just calories that come from things like sugar).

4. It's bad for your teeth and gums. Eating too much sugar over time can damage tooth enamel and increase the risk of cavities. Overweight people often have more problems with tooth decay because they tend to have higher levels of acid in their mouths due to a variety of factors such as poor brushing habits or eating acidic foods like soda or juice regularly, which erode tooth enamel and make it easier for bacteria to grow on teeth and cause decay.

5. It raises blood pressure and triglycerides (a type of fat) in the blood — both risk factors for heart disease and stroke — especially when consumed in excess over
But don't worry—we've got some easy alternatives for you. You can still enjoy your favorite snacks without all the added sugar, and we'll even show you how to make some of our favorite sweet treats with a little less sweetness.

While sugar does have some benefits, there are other options that can provide you with the same sweetness without the negative effects. Here are some great alternatives for sugar:

First up: stevia. Stevia is a natural sweetener derived from the leaf of a South American plant called the stevia rebaudiana, which has been used for centuries as a sweetener in Paraguay and Brazil. It's about 300 times sweeter than table sugar, so you only need a tiny amount—and it doesn't cause any of the negative side effects that refined sugars do. It's also zero calories and doesn't raise blood sugar levels or insulin production like other sweeteners do.

Another healthy alternative to sugar is honey, which has been around as long as humans have been around (and maybe even longer). Honey is great because it's got vitamins, minerals, antioxidants—it's basically nature's candy! Just make sure not to overdo it with this one; too much honey can increase blood sugar levels in some people.

There are also plenty of natural fruit juices out there that don't contain any added sugars at all—just check the label before buying anything from the store!

In summary, there are many health benefits to eliminating sugar from your diet. It's been linked to diabetes, cancer, and a whole host of other serious health issues. Sugar will accelerate your aging process, as well as lower your energy levels. When you stop eating sugar, you'll feel more alive and healthier overall.
